The Summoning, by Bambu, (hosted on OWL)
This story is another that addresses my unresolved angst about Harry's state of mind after losing Sirius. Bambu's take on the characters' responses to the tragedy and increasing peril is thoroughly fleshed out by the effluent storytelling style of the Bambu. Hermione ultimately takes center stage, and there is a lot of Camelot based folklore embedded into the story. I am not usually attracted to plots that invoke an excessive female power over male power basis: I prefer equality. But this author's eloquent descriptions and thorough depiction of the emotional journey that each of our beloved characters takes is mesmerizing and compelling.
I highly recommend it - but beware! It has not been updated since November, 2007!!
